BACKGROUND
NEECO was established with the investment of Kyushu Electric Power Company, Saibu Gas Co., Ltd., and Fukuoka City Government in November 1990, primarily to implement thermal energy supply to the Seaside Momochi District, Fukuoka. Thermal energy has subsequently been supplied to two further areas, a supply of thermal energy to three locations in total.
BUSINESS OUTLINE
The DHC service supplies cool and hot water from DHC plants to buildings in specific areas. Unused energy sources, such as the heat emitted from seawater, substations and buildings, are used effectively as the source of heating energy.

A consultation service is provided for customers to verify the cost-effectiveness of the various energy supply facilities, including air-conditioning systems, the DHC system, and co-generation in individual buildings.

NEECO sees itself as an integrated energy industry, and is now investigating an ESCO project.

In our overseas section, focus is made on the introduction of technology relating to environmental protection, including industrial waste recycling and the effective use of natural energy overseas.

FUTURE ACTIVITY TRENDS
NEECO pursues the feasibility of unused energy sources in order to achieve greater resource saving and energy conservation, as well as environmental protection.
